In esenta o varianta a Google Webmaster Tools dar ceva diferit, Yahoo Open Search Platform se vrea a fi o inovatie ce ar schimba modul in care sunt afisate rezultatele cautarii folosind yahoo.com. Ce face Open Search? Teoretic nimic, dar iti acorda tie, ca publisher, 3rd party, posibilitatea de a modifica rezultatul cautarii in momentul in care apare site-ul tau. Nu poti schimba pozitia in care se afla rezultatul, adica nu este nimic de SEO, dar poti adauga o poza, poti pune o mica descriere sau poti adauga un numar de telefon. Totusi daca esti votat de utilizatori, poti avansa in cautare, aici fiind si partea rea ca se incurajeaza spam botii, care pot creste rankul unui site fara niciun efort.
Sper ca, pentru a face aceste modificari, numai detinatorul site-ului, respectiv al continutului rezultatului, sa poata face modificari asupra aspectului, ca parca vad ca te trezesti cu tot felul de porcarii pe site.
