Top 5 BEST File Sharing Sites from the Web + reasons

  1. filedropper.com logo FileDropper.com. With a 5 GB per file limit, File Dropper seems to be the largest file sharing site out there. Its (only) problem is the lack of a progress bar, fact that could be very annoying when uploading the full size. If you don’t have a problem with that, than consider this as a choice.
  2. EatLime.com. Supporting up to 1 GB per file, EatLime has the best looking interface out there, but this is possible only by registering. Without registration you can only upload as much as 100 MB per file.
  3. aDrive.com . After a few clicks which will get you a free account you gain acces to a 50 GB storage space, with a limit of 2 GB per file. Why is it only on the 3rd place? Just because it has bad looks, but once they’ve solved this problem then they could play along.
  4. SkyDrive.live.com. Microsoft brings SkyDrive to the Microsoft users. With a storage of 50 GB, with a 50MB per file limit, is an alternative, but it’s only suitable to users swapping smaller files, such as documents or songs. Its great advantage is that you can create a world only for your known users. You can give access to your friend network, requesting a password as a safety method.
  5. MediaMax.com. The one called the storagefather of the interent file sharing sites, MediaMax, offers accounts with 25 GB storage space, with a limit of 25 MB/file, and, the awful part, with a limit of 1 GB/month worth of downloads. Definitely not suitable for large database backups, but it worths the effort for smaller databases.
