Google sites - newbie’s little helper
Google sites comes in the rescue of the newbie internet user who wishes to own a website. Though the plan is great and the idea is remarcable, it will only grow to be a failure as the spam bots invade the internet. Of course google sites will be powerd by all the gadgets included in the google pack as adsense, youtube videos, webmaster tools, google docs, picasa albums and so on but this will only make the numbers of spam mails, spam comments and smappers themselves grow. I’m sick of the numberless spam comments that I get in which “Viagra, gay sex and fetish porn” are the main words. If they’ve launched this tool, they should be prepared for the war that is about to come.
Google Sites is the former Jotspot in a newer for, simplified for the common user. The registered member gets to choose from a number of 5 templates, they get a standard wiki, a blog-type template for announcements, a file cabinet for file uploads and a page for list of items. RSS is included with each wiki page. The already users from Jotspot will still have acces to the old features of the site with the possibility of being updated at any time.
